Third Contact Première
Over 3 years Director Simon Horrocks painstakingly crafted a low budget sf film about alternate universes and quantum mechanics. We worked to bring an internationally streamed live event to the London BFI IMAX.
Work initially began helping Simon with the Kickstarter, designing perks and giving some social media advice. A slight refresh of the logo, postcard designs and t-shirt concepts gave the campaign an edge.
There was also chance to write a few guest blog posts.
The postcard perks proved popular, working from the design of old press kit stills captured backers imaginations and gave them a tangible piece of movie memorabilia.
18 different versions were made for backers to choose from and each print was personalised with their name making them unique.
During the campaign the Director asked me to organise a live screening and QA of the première. Held at the London IMAX, the UKs largest screen, this was a popular event with over 600 people viewing online.
This involved selecting the tech needed, creating a web app, the live video stream, twitter stream and the theatrical DCP.
